Description:

REQUIREMENTS

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineer with knowledge in Synthesis.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Candidates with industrial or academic experience (at least 1-3 years) within R&D environment are preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  1. Formation and experience in the application of Green Chemistry concepts and principles.
  2. Ability to solve process and scale-up problems through laboratory-scale investigations.
  3. Knowledge of analytical techniques and data interpretation (GC, MS…).
  4. Proven track record of designing experiments and problem-solving.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, inter-collaborative and international team.
  • Excellent housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, documentation and organization skills.

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION AND PROFILE

The candidate will study key organic chemistry transformations aiming to improve the quality, yield, process safety, and reduce production cost of fragrance ingredients. This may involve the evaluation of alternative raw materials, new product intermediates, catalysts, and the development of novel chemical transformations and reaction technologies. The role also includes proposing, designing, and conducting experiments related to synthesis, separation, and purification, as well as developing analytical methods.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and development of organic synthesis reactions.
  • Plan, describe and perform experimental procedures.
  • Analyze and summarize data and results in technical and informational documents.
  • Communication and collaboration with OPS and cross-functional multinational teams (internal and external).
  • Identify quality-determining product parameters on existing IPCs.
  • Experience scale-up and down scale of processes in production vision.
