Key Responsibilities:

  • Simple and complex routine laboratory testing of pharmaceutical products
  • Write simple laboratory investigations and reports
  • Ensure the application of sound scientific principles in laboratory work – documenting and performing analytical testing
  • Support and encourage continuous improvement initiatives for the benefit of the Quality department and the wider business
  • Ensure activities comply with GMP, legal and ethical standards
  • Provide insight and apply creativity to challenging situations
  • Plan, monitor and achieve goals within set time frames
  • Provide, build and maintain consistent, reliable and accurate customer service
  • Perform other duties as required by management
  • Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives
  • Write validation protocols, validation reports and continued process verification reports

Job Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Science (with a minimum of 8 relevant chemistry units)
  • Understanding of GMP requirements is highly desirable
  • Ability to read and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to comply with GxP
  • Can understand technical documents and can communicate description of problems and solutions
  • Ability to build rapport, establish and maintain relationships with peers, business contacts, and corporate management
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines and targets with competing and conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and extensive technical knowledge and ability is essential in this role
  • Sound judgement and decision making skills
