Description:

The YMCA of Central Texas is currently seeking a talented individual to join our team serving the community of Leander, TX as a Chess Instructor.
This position will work within our after school programs creating, implementing and leading the children in the YMCA after school through enrichment programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a background in chess.
This position may work up to 20 hours per week preparing for and leading enrichments as well as helping within the YMCA after school and camp programs as needed. An outstanding ability to build relationships with children, parents and community members is a must as well as the flexibility to help fill the ever changing needs of our youth development department.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Over 18 and possess a high school diploma, or equivalent
  • Have a willingness to learn new things
  • Previous experience working with kids
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Able to provide own transportation and willing to travel to different school locations within a school district
    Pay Rate: $16.00 to $21.00/hour
