The Chief Accountant is responsible for below tasks and others assigned by thier departments as necessary.

  • Manage and oversee the entire accounting team with the assistance of the Finance Manager
  • Conduct all necessary training to keep the team’s skills and knowledge up to date
  • Ensure that all necessary documents are requested, collected, and compiled
  • Maintain current and garner new client relationships
  • Monitor and mentor/train junior staff, clerks, and bookkeepers
  • Detect and address potential compliance issues proactively
  • Maintain highly organized and updated client files
  • Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations.
  • Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
  • Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls.
  • Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow management reporting.
  • Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries.
  • Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams.
  • Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
  • Supporting Finance Manager in ensuring that intercompany cost allocations are in line with management agreements and transfer pricing policy
  • Consultative with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives
  • To attend all departmental meetings, briefings & internal or external training sessions as required.
  • Establishes and maintains an inclusive environment by ensuring effective two ways communication processes are set up.
  • To act wholeheartedly in the interests of the Company at all times & not to perform, arrange or carry out any work or activity which could be considered to be in competition with or affect in any way the company interests or be detrimental or damaging to it’s public image.
  • To ensure maximum efficiency, employees are engaged on the basis that they must be prepared to undertake reasonable duties other than those for which they have been specifically engaged.
  • Be environmentally friendly, reduce waste, recycle when possible, and reuse whenever applicable.
  • All employees are expected to co-operate with the management, to ensure the successful application of the Company’s Equal Opportunities & Harassment policies.
  • To carry out any reasonable & lawful direct instruction given by the General Manager during working hours.
