Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will to be responsible for building the capabilities across all chapters to deliver value in the Finance division, to ensure finance change is delivered effectively and efficiently in accordance to enterprise change practices. You will be ensuring our finance systems are meeting the needs of Finance today and in the future and to drive the finance strategy.
This role will provide guidance and mentorship to direct and indirect Chapter Leads, and foster collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst teams, and is responsible for the delivery of the overall Finance Change and Finance Systems squads.
Finance is organised as an agile division – in this organisation the chapters reflect functional leads / people leads including people development.

OTHER KEY ASPECTS OF THE ROLE:

  • Guiding and supporting the Systems Squad and oversee the finance systems to ensure they are aligned with the strategic Architecture roadmap development and strategy.
  • Overseeing the Finance Change team, including continuous improvement activities, finance project deliverables and linkage into global initiatives such as transformation, Simplify and others as they arise.
  • Actively drive Finance Change via project ownership and sponsorship duties.
  • Developing and executing on the finance strategy.
  • Overseeing and leading multiple chapter teams, who are responsible for leading their chapter and ensuring the growth of the chapter members.
  • Ensuring that each chapter team is aligned with the larger organisational goals and objectives.
  • Fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among the chapter teams and supporting the Product Owner – Change to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communicating regularly with Tribe Leads, stakeholders, and management
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to improve the performance and productivity across finance.
  • Partnering with Human Resources to develop and implement a professional development culture across all chapters.
  • Leading strategic initiatives for Allianz Finance Australia, which span Allianz globally.
  • Leading a culture of collaborative and high quality decision-making across finance projects.
  • Continuously evaluating and improvinge chapter processes and procedures.
  • Developing an understanding of trends and future issues and share with Human Resources development team to ensure that skills meet the demands of the future.
  • Proactively fostering active communication and knowledge sharing across AAL to build a learning organisation.
  • Participate in active discussions with, and work collaboratively, with the Finance Leadership Team by providing inputs on Chapters, Change and Systems.
