We are looking for a Chief Engineer, Structural Analysis, to strengthen our Delivery Engineering team and ensure the success of Customer projects.
The position is located in Espoo, Finland.
What you’ll do
Plan and lead the structural analysis work in global equipment delivery projects
Develop and upkeep calculation tools
Assure that the material selection and use are economical, sustainable, and fulfill customer specifications.
Participate in engineering meetings with customers and external engineering offices
Provide technical support for internal customers from sales, product development, delivery, installation and services
Outsource structural analysis work to a network of subcontractors when needed
Who you are
M.Sc. or B.Eng. degree in mechanical engineering • 5-10 years of experience in equipment engineering, with in-depth
understanding of structural analysis methods
Strong know-how on FE analyses (preferred Ansys). CFD or DEM are considered advantages.
Basic experience in using CAD and PDM tools (preferably AutoCAD 2D, SolidWorks 3D, SolidWorks PDM, and Enovia PLM)
Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawings.
Understanding of legislation, international standards, and regulations such as API 650, Eurocode, ASCE 7, PED, and ASME BPVC
Project-oriented working methods and an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Capability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
Good cooperation, team-leading skills, and ability to work with people from different cultures.
Good communication skills in spoken and written English. Finnish is considered as an advantage.
Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites/fabricator workshops
