The didgwalic Wellness Center is seeking a Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to join our integrated care clinic that combines medical and dental care, behavioral health, and opiate treatment under one roof. This position will provide hands on leadership for financial operations; and be responsible for monitoring the financial health of the organization and designing strategic plans to maintain and improve financials in partnership with the CEO, as well as to ensure best practices in the organization. In this role you’ll be key to helping drive our growth and mission. This role reports to the CEO.
Our mission is to improve outcomes with quality health care solutions by removing barriers to treatment. Our comprehensive services include primary care, behavioral health, and opiate treatment in a dedicated care team model. We also go beyond these services to support our clients by offering a range of services like transportation, childcare, dental services, acupuncture, yoga, case management, and even free lunches while onsite. REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters degree in business administration, accounting or finance, preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading finance and accounting teams with healthcare and Medicare experience, preferred.
  • CPA license, preferred
  • Significant experience in an ERP accounting software, MIP and Microix experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well with others. Demonstrated ability to interact positively with teammates and all assigned enterprises.
  • Ability to work in a cross-culture environment.
  • Must pass extensive criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership in developing program, organizational, and financial plans with the CEO; carries out all established plans and policies to effectively manage the Wellness Center’s financial operations.
  • Manage finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; and implementing change.
  • Develop organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion.
  • Provide leadership in the development of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Drive financial planning and risk management strategies while providing timely insights into operational results, trends and growth drivers.
  • Develop and establish finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction, establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
  • Report financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
  • Supervises and trains day-to-day general accounting functions and accounting operations which include coding invoices and compilation of data for various accounting reports.
  • Reviews vouchers, accounting documents, and records submitted by staff.
  • Creates and implements process improvement techniques in order to maximize automation of complex tasks.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with departments within didgwalic and provides training and assistance to all department managers and supervisors regarding all financial aspects.
  • Annual budget creation, review, and monitoring in conjunction with management.
  • Ensures month end, year-end closing entries, and delivery of monthly financial statements.
  • Annual audit preparation including yearend reconciliations and completing audit requests.
  • Advises and strategically partners with CEO on issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
