As the CFO of this dynamic $1b+ food & beverage company in Michigan, you will provide strategic financial leadership for the finance, accounting, risk management, and technology functions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement short and long-term strategic plans in collaboration with senior leadership focused on continued M&A, market expansion, new product development, and network optimization.
- Strengthen external relationships, negotiate contracts, and support revenue growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to maximize investment, drive cost savings, and enhance efficiency.
- Establish communication frameworks aligning goals with the company’s strategic direction.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
- Optimize working capital management, approving budgets and overseeing cost-effective operations.
- Develop a robust costing model and continually improve the budgeting process.
- Provide timely analysis of budgets, forecasts, and operational trends for strategic decision-making.
- Oversee insurance programs and assess facility operations for efficiency improvements.
- Introduce systems, procedures, and metrics to ensure company goals are met.
- Manage finance, accounting, and IT, providing hands-on leadership and business partnership.
- Foster a high-performance culture through personnel selection, training, and coaching.
Requirements:
- Proven strategic leadership in a mid-sized food ingredients processing company.
- Prior P&L ownership and strong commercial acumen in accounting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage networks for partnerships and business opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high integrity with a results-oriented mindset.
- Creative problem-solving and sound judgment based on accurate analyses.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, MBA, or higher certification a plus.
