Description:
SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Schneider Group is a key member of the Management Board, playing a important role in the overall management of the global business. The CFO is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities worldwide. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, forecasting, reporting, controlling, treasury, cash management, tax, and compliance with financial statutes and policies. Additionally, the CFO oversees legal and general administrative matters, is a sparring partner to the operating management and supports in executing Schneider’s buy and build strategy.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSET
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.
- 15 years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in the Logistics/Freight Forwarding industry, but not mandatory
- Work experience in multinational companies or an international work environment.
- Ideally, M&A and post-deal integration experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization in a multicultural environment.
- Effective communication skills
- Pragmatic and hands-on approach with an entrepreneurial attitude.
- Team player with a hands-on mentality.
- Fluent in German and English; fluency in French would be a significant advantage.
Workplace is at Schneider Group’s headquarter in Basel, Switzerland. Home office is possible one day a week. The position requires the willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the Management Board and Board of Directors.
- Ensure high standards of quality and timeliness in all planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes across regions.
- Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and tax policies and procedures throughout the regions.
- Manage cash and working capital performance for the group.
- Lead Finance transformation and integration initiatives.
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and compliance with applicable regulatory laws and regulations.
