Description:
The company has a vacancy for a CFO who will be responsible for the overall financial management of GC Rieber CSA. The position focuses on long-term financial planning, implementing and managing a robust financial system and providing Management and the Board with timely and accurate management information. The incumbent will report to the Managing Director.
Requirements:
- Professional registration (CA[SA]) with relevant post-graduate qualification
- At least 15 years of post-qualification experience in a similar financial management role
- At least 10 years of experience in a multi-national company setting, 3 of which are within a manufacturing environment
- Experience within and understanding of the humanitarian sector: understanding of the financial implications within the industry and dealing with humanitarian customers
- Comprehensive computer literacy (MS Excel, D365 ER system)
- Proven capability to be a proactive “sparring partner” to the Managing Director
- Sound knowledge of the Companies Act, tax legislation and regulations
- High levels of emotional intelligence and the ability to function under pressure
- Strategic insight with a strong entrepreneurial drive
- Honest and transparent with impeccable business ethics
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills at an executive leve
Responsibilities:
- Planning, implementing and managing the company’s financial strategy
- Managing the financial and accounting system controls and standards
- Ensuring accurate, complete and timely management information and reports
- Implementing and managing of robust financial systems, policies and procedures
- Identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities
- Advising on long-term business and financial planning
- Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and legislation
- Personnel management (leadership and direction to finance team)
- Managing monthly and annual tax returns
- Managing / overseeing debtors and creditors
- Developing alternative scenarios and engaging in strategic planning for future business needs
- Preparing and presenting complex and actionable financial information at executive level to enable strategic decision-making
- Engaging in financial modelling and analysis within a dynamic trading environment
- Maintaining relationships with financial partners (banks and auditors)
- Securing financing, supporting organisational strategy with financial negotiation capabilities and maintaining financial facilities
