Description:

INTRODUCTION:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company has overall responsibility for strategic planning, implementation of strategic initiatives, managing and running of all the finance activities of the Stafford Hotel Limited including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk and governance as well as commercial negotiations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 15 years’ experience in the CFO position
  • Proven leadership and management experience is essential.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the executive presence to work with senior management, Board and external parties.
  • Ability to engage with staff at all levels of the organization and exercise sound judgement.
  • Relevant University degree, post graduate degree is recommended.
  • Fluent Arabic Language is a must (Reading & writing)
  • Experience in the Middle East & Africa Region.

Responsibilities:

  • As the key member of the executive management team, the CFO interacts with senior management & reports directly to the Board the CFO’s responsibilities include:
  • Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
  • Providing strategic recommendations to the Board and members of the executive management team
  • Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and responsible for the preparation of all financial reports.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to explore new expansions for Stafford Collection. Define relationships with new business partners to optimize benefits derived from the monetary systems of these new regions.
  • Advising on long-term business and financial planning
  • Provide commercial insight and leadership across the business in order to exceed business plan targets.
  • Responsible for ensuring internal auditing and compliance management framework is embedded and operational for the Group.
  • Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
  • Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures
  • Liaising with external auditors, finance providers, and external agencies (including Government - HMRC)
  • Ensuring that the Statutory accounts are filed on timely basis.
  • Cash management & reporting
  • Training Development and Supervision of Finance Team
  • Development of Finance systems and process
  • Maintenance of appropriate internal controls
  • Manage and issue monthly financial reporting to the Board.
