Description:

OVERVIEW:

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will utilize their years of experience and background to instill confidence in the Human Resources function for the Serve Give Joy LLC Enterprise. This role is full-time, on-site from the restaurants or offsite office. They will ensure complete compliance and strategic leadership of all HR functions for two local Chick-fil-A’s by direct partnership with the Owner/Operator. The CHRO will demonstrate expert business, relational, and leadership acumen as they strategically, proactively and decisively oversee all aspects of talent management, recruitment and selection, retention, administration of Human Resources programs including benefits, workplace culture, leadership development, Human capital management (HCM) technology systems, and compliance with all state, federal and local employment laws and regulations for the Serve Give Joy LLC Enterprise. They will be directly responsible for the Talent and Leadership Critical Success Factors, and will spearhead strategic goals and initiatives in alignment with our Purpose and Core Values.

LEADERSHIP

  • As part of the Executive Team, strategically lead and partner with the Leadership Team on strategic business initiatives
  • Work closely with the Operator and Chief Operating Officer to optimize coaching effectiveness for General Managers, Directors, and their respective Leadership Teams to maximize their leadership potential and results
  • Lead all key Human Resources initiatives, including staffing, management training, performance management, organization planning, compensation planning, and Team Member development
  • Identify, nurture, and mentor Leadership candidates to cultivate a robust leadership pipeline that anticipates business growth
  • Conduct strategic gap analysis to identify organizational opportunities, fostering collaborative problem-solving to bridge gaps effectively
  • Create and execute a highly effective talent management process that holds the Leadership Team accountable for achieving predefined measures of success in alignment with their job description and business goals
  • Collaborate with the Operator and General Managers to facilitate leadership training programs focused on both hard and soft skills leadership development
  • Consistently reflect servant leadership in all actions, decisions, and communications within the Operator’s Vision

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND SALES AND BRAND GROWTH

  • Understand the unique dynamics and key business priorities of each Restaurant in order to provide coaching to Restaurant leaders on effectively managing and leading within the Serve Give Joy LLC Enterprise.
  • Lead the annual strategic business planning, providing insights to optimize organizational structures that support growth and scale
  • Works with the Leadership Team to evaluate, review and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement and best practice sharing
  • Assess and determine the design of performance management programs, ensuring that job descriptions, performance standards, and evaluation instruments promote operational excellence and accountability
  • Provides support for local and market-level marketing efforts aimed at sustaining brand momentum and driving business growth, with a specific focus on talent strategy, talent acquisition and the strategic crafting and delivery of the employer brand promise

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated history as an enthusiastic servant leader
  • Mastery of Human Resources principles, practices, and strategies, with a proven track record of years of experience and success in increasingly complex leadership roles and responsibilities
  • Expert understanding of compliance regulations, employment law, and Human Resources best practices to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all Human Resources functions
  • Extensive experience in developing, implementing and executing Human Resources strategies that align with organizational goals and drive business performance and metrics
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor HR teams, fostering a culture of servant leadership, collaboration, and excellence
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret Human Resources metrics and data to make data driven decisions for continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, leadership development, and retention strategies to build and sustain a high-performing team
  • Experience in organizational development and change management, driving cultural transformation and fostering an inclusive workplace culture
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate and respond to Human Resources trends and challenges, and proactively develop solutions to address them
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence leaders at all levels of the Enterprise
  • Proven experience in partnering with and advising executive leadership teams to provide strategic Human Resources guidance and support organizational growth and success
  • Demonstrated history of the ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Bachelor’s degree, preferred Master’s degree, in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management or other similar disciplines
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification required
  • SHRM California Law Specialty Credential strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources Leadership role
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours
  • A positive, growth mindset
  • Able to work full-time (40+ hours a week) and various shifts per week (night and day)
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
