Responsibilities:
The Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), in close collaboration with the CEO, will be responsible for the ideation, development and execution of an overall human resource and talent management strategy to build a strong, ethical culture and support the overall business plan(s) and strategic direction of the organization. The CHRO shall oversee the development of succession plans, talent acquisition and management, change management, organizational and employee performance management, training and development, security (FSO) and compensation and benefits. The CHRO will provide a strategic leadership roadmap by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, the board of directors and shareholders.

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 15+ years as a Senior HR executive with extensive business and human resources experience in a growth environment with substantial organizational change including company-wide human capital expense management;
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading a best-in-class human resources organization, preferably having worked in a government services organization recognized as a leader in human capital programs and practices;
  • Demonstrated experience creating a high performance and values-based culture resulting in a highly engaged and productive workforce;
  • Recognized both as a strategic and tactical business partner with a highly visible executive presence and hands-on management style;
  • Functional center of excellence experience in compensation and benefits, talent/succession management, organizational development, HR technology/infrastructure, and/or HR shared services;
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions including HR integration work (e.g., outsourcing, offshoring, lower cost geography, etc.);
  • Demonstrated business acumen and a strong track record of adding business value and working successfully with business unit leaders in a client focused, highly competitive, and rapidly changing environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university;
  • A minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field.
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification.

  • US Government security clearance preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-level HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives in coordination with CEO and CFO;
  • Establish and implement HR initiatives with each department head;
  • Build an effective internal communications program to inform employees and demonstrate support for the firm’s mission and strategic vision;
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational, management and talent issues;
  • Work with the firm’s executive management to establish sound succession plans that correspond to the strategy and objectives of the firm;
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals and key programs. These initiatives should include coaching, mentoring, training, and career development programs to improve employee retention and attract A players;
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective for the firm;
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits globally.
