Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Overview:
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc (CEC) has an immediate opening in our Pittsburgh, PA headquarters for a CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER (CMO) to join our executive leadership team. The CMO will work directly with the CEO, Strategic Development Officer, and operations management teams to advance the organization’s growth goals while enhancing and extending CEC’s brand. The primary responsibility of the CMO will be to collaboratively develop CEC’s marketing strategy and initiatives with a focus on supporting the firm’s business development efforts, while leading the operational activities of the 15 marketing professionals on the team.
While residence near or willingness to relocate to our Pittsburgh headquarters location is preferred, candidates located within commuting distance to any of CEC’s office locations will be considered.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree; 15+ years marketing and sales experience; 10+ years of experience in the A/E/C industry
• Demonstrated career progression
• Relevant Marketing certifications are a plus
• Ability to cultivate a broad professional network, particularly within the industry.

SKILL SET:

• Thorough understanding of A/E/C industry, public sector procurement, and project delivery methods
• Experience translating business objectives to functional initiatives that advance the business.
• Ability to proactively anticipate the needs of internal clients and move rapidly to address them.
• Strong people management capability including adapting to various styles, setting clear expectations, and motivating the team.
• Outstanding time management, prioritization, and organization skills
• Strong writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Excellent business acumen
