JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the U.S Bank Chief Administrative Officer, the Chief of Staff is responsible for enabling the execution of the Administration Office’s strategic priorities in partnership with senior management and business partners, portfolio management, business reporting and KPI dashboards, workforce, operational and business management of the division.
The CoS manages day to day operations, is the proxy to the CAO and management team ensuring decisions are aligned with investment priorities and operating model; and is an independent and objective sounding board in comparing, contrasting, and debating priorities, and facilitating commercial decisions across key stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE & PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
  • Create and maintain cost-effective programs and expense management.
  • Determine staff development needs and create appropriate action plans.
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles.
  • Proven leadership ability.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
  • Previous experience leading business transformation.
  • Excellent leadership and relationship building skills.
  • Create an environment that motivates and promotes high engagement and collaboration to achieve objectives.
  • The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

  • Strategic and Commercial Acumen – Has impressive intellectual horsepower and critical thinking skills and can be accretive to the existing senior team. Knowledgeable of emerging industry trends be able to clearly envision and communicate the future STCA roadmap for the business. Must be able to “deep dive” into the details and the business while staying focused on the big picture and be able to “connect the dots.” Skilled at sizing and prioritizing investment opportunities/ initiatives based on estimated impact, ease of implementation and potential risk. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business organization as a member of the senior management team.
  • Lead strategic and operational planning for the Administration Office to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future organization.
  • Develop strategies to support STCA and provides input into the formulation of the STCA strategy.
  • Manages projects in the short and long-term priorities.
