The Department of Regional NSW, soon to be the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development from 1 July 2024, is seeking a seasoned and dynamic executive to lead our Enabling Services function across the state.

We are the department focused on protecting and growing primary industries, supporting sustainable land management, overseeing the state’s mineral, and mining resources, and ensuring that government investment supports strong regional communities and economies. We have nearly 5,000 employees, with almost 80 percent living and working in regional NSW.

Responsibilities:

  • Tertiary qualifications in public administration, commerce, business management, or equivalent demonstrated career experience.
  • Extensive experience in a senior government and/or corporate sector role.
  • A thorough understanding of governance, compliance, and the relevant frameworks within the NSW jurisdiction.
  • A demonstrated track record of leadership in enabling service delivery and organizational performance improvement.
