Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Due to continued growth, Owl is hiring a COO. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the business’s systems, processes, and tools work synergistically to drive realization of the company vision. Owl’s COO will ensure that the company vision is distilled into action in all facets of the business and will directly manage Production, Quality, Security, and IT while coordinating with all other functions and areas of the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for strategy distillation into actions throughout the functions of the business. Maintains company KPI dashboard and drives actions cross-company to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Leads strategic initiatives identified by the CEO to drive business visibility and follow through.
- Leads the development and roll out of cross-company business systems, processes, and tools. Ensures these systems, processes, and tools are suitable for scaling the business.
- Responsible for the Quality org to include corporate quality and product quality. Manages compliance to corporate QMS. Manages product quality deficiency investigation and reporting. Coordinates with Product Engineering on change requests for product deficiencies.
- Responsible for the Production org. Manages and reports on inventory. Identifies, selects, and manages contract manufacturers. Manages a lean Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) process. Manages returned product and resulting customer follow through.
- Responsible for facility sourcing. Manages the identification, build, accreditation, and on-going certifications for production and secure facilities. Manages production facilities, receiving/shipping areas, secure areas, engineering labs, and customer demonstration centers.
- Responsible for Security. Responsible for personnel and facility security compliance.
- Responsible for IT and IT Security. Responsible for ensuring compliance to IT Security certifications.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology or relevant field (MBA preferred)
- Experience
- Qualified candidates will have 15+ years of experience managing business operations. It is highly preferred that candidates have experience within technology companies that do business with Federal Government clientele.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience managing production.
- Experience negotiating with and managing contract manufacturers.
- Experience managing IT and Security.
- Desired familiarity and experience with classified development and production.
- Desired familiarity with quality management and quality management systems.
- Desired familiarity with IT management, including CMMC.
- Additional Competencies/Requirements
- Travel to Owl offices is expected
- Candidates may be required to obtain and maintain a US Government Security clearance.
