Chief Pharmacist

The delivery of a legal, safe, high quality and efficient pharmacy and medicines management service across the Trust. Trust Accountable Officer for Controlled Drugs ensuring that the associated statutory responsibilities are fulfilled. Superintendent Pharmacist for registration of premises with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Ensure that all practice relating to medicines management throughout the Trust complies with the current legal and professional frameworks and, where practice is found to be non-compliant; this is addressed through the relevant processes.
Ensure that there is adequate support (staff, facilities and equipment) to enable the pharmacy team to discharge their professional responsibilities Strategic planning of the pharmaceutical service of Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, interpreting professional and NHS policy and guidance to deliver service re-design and development ensuring plans align to Greater Manchester Integrated Care System. To lead and manage the development of medicines management within the Trust in line with national, local and regulatory requirements and best practice recommendations. (e.g. CQC, GPhC, MHRA, NICE, NHSE, RPHARMS) and in support of the Trust Corporate Objectives
