Description:

Advanced Automation Corporation (AAC) is a Systems and Specialty Engineering-focused company. We maintain highly experienced and elite teams of analysts, engineers, logisticians, economists, and education specialists that serve government and industry clients within the aerospace-defense sector.
We are searching for a Chief Predictive Maintenance Engineer (CPME) with excellent leadership abilities to oversee multiple company projects. The CPME’s responsibilities will include assigning tasks to engineering teams, setting long and short-term project goals, negotiating with vendors and clients, ensuring that projects stay within time and budgetary restraints, and compiling reports for the board of directors. The CPME is responsible for coordinating, supporting, and executing predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and performance. This role involves a systematic and analytical approach to troubleshooting, failure analysis, and the implementation of proactive maintenance measures. The engineer will work across organizations to ensure maintenance activities are aligned with technical contracts and warranty provisions, optimizing operational efficiency and reducing downtime.

The successful candidate will:

  • Supervise every phase of multiple projects from start to completion.
  • Calculate costs, material, labor, and time required for each project.
  • Delegate tasks to engineering teams.
  • Supervise staff training as well as equipment installation.
  • Develop and implement predictive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and other condition monitoring techniques to identify and address potential equipment failures before they occur.
  • Conduct systematic failure analysis and troubleshooting to determine the root causes of equipment failures and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance activities based on risk and impact analysis, ensuring optimal equipment reliability and performance.
  • Manage and analyze data from predictive maintenance activities to identify trends and improvement opportunities, reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance staff on predictive maintenance techniques and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in predictive maintenance technologies and methodologies, recommending investments in tools or training that could improve maintenance efficiency or equipment reliability.
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers and vendors to resolve warranty issues, secure technical support, and ensure the availability of replacement parts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role with a focus on predictive maintenance and reliability engineering.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as advanced diagnostic and analytical tools.
  • Experience with failure analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems and data analysis software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • At least 4 years of experience leading or supervising a team.
  • The ability to maintain a positive attitude and restore morale to a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work onsite and in the office.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Advanced Degree in Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience supervising a team
  • Professional Engineering License
