Description:
The successful candidate will be working independently in either Respiratory and Sleep. Perform, analyse and report on a wide range of respiratory investigations including: Full lung function testing (Spirometry, static lung volumes and gas transfer) Bronchodilator reversibility testing FENO 6 Minute walk test Overnight oximetry Multichannel sleep studies (Respiratory Polygraphy) Full Polysomnography and MSLT Actigraphy Record, measure and monitor physiological changes in patients and deliver accurate, reliable and reproducible results. Hold consultation clinics discussing results of sleep investigations and explaining CPAP Revalidation and Registration therapy, including the administration of CPAP. Follow up all patients on CPAP treatment to ensure adequate compliance, implement additional investigations as necessary and continue to support established patients.
Make decisions on treatment modifications for CPAP patients. Ensure the safe use and maintenance of all equipment. Perform required calibrations and organize maintenance updates as necessary. Participate in the Sleep MDM and put patients through for discussion as appropriate, based on clinical queries.
Competency and experience performing and interpreting Lung Function Tests fully independently In-depth knowledge of respiratory anatomy, physiology and pathology Knowledge of sleep disorders and CPAP treatment Ability to analyse and report multichannel sleep studies independently Experience on CPAP setup, follow-up and troubleshooting Team leadership and management skill
