Schedule: Various shifts between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday to Sunday and Public Holidays, as required.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Preparation and proactive management of the annual operating plan and financial budgets for the department.
- Monitor and report on monthly operational results.
- Prepare and submit detailed annual business plans for the department.
- Manage employee work performance in the department. Identify and manage poor-performing employees and take appropriate action to rectify the issue.
- Implementing and complying with all aspects of the WHS Plan.
- Demonstrating a visible and proactive commitment to Workplace Health and Safety Management. Identify, assess, and control workplace hazards and risks.
- Ensure all work practices and procedures comply with NATA/TGA/NPACC regulations.
- Stay abreast of market developments in equipment as well as scientific literature and communicate significant findings.
- Skills to initiate and manage changes to business processes, systems, and technology job roles, and department structures that maximize employee adoption and usage, minimize resistance, and optimize the business benefit.
- Experience working with multiple instrument platforms and manual techniques.
- Sound experience with laboratory-based analytical tasks, method validation, and verification, as well as clinical result validation and interpretation.
- Sound experience with routine internal quality control and external quality assurance procedures.
- Solid grounding in pathology-based IT and quality systems.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Show commitment to achieving challenging goals by demonstrating a high level of personal motivation and application of expertise.
