The CTO based in Bangalore and is the key leader responsible for driving technological innovation and maximizing the value of McKesson Compile’s data assets. The CTO will develop and execute the technology strategy, overseeing infrastructure and development processes. They are responsible for managing data assets by establishing data governance, ensuring security and privacy, and maintaining data quality. The CTO collaborates with product, sales and operation teams to develop high value data products and services. The CTO is responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. As the technical leader, the CTO provides guidance to engineering teams and manages technological risks related to data commercialization. The CTO’s role is critical in driving the success of McKesson Compile through leveraging technology and data assets.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 15+ years demonstrated experience in setting organizational technology strategies
  • 10+ years building market leading products and/or engineering differentiated products
  • Experience dealing with disparate/unstructured data preferably in healthcare.
  • Experienced in identifying technology trends, evaluate opportunities, and make informed decisions on technology investments.
  • Demonstrated ability to choose frameworks and in being an early adopter of market leading technology.
  • Deep understanding of data management, analytics, and emerging technologies related to data commercialization.
  • Well-versed in data processing, data integration, data warehousing, data governance, machine learning, and other relevant technologies preferably in health care.
  • Ability to set a clear technology vision and technology strategy for the company.
  • Ability to think strategically and align technology initiatives with the overall business goals.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive innovation.
  • Demonstrated experience operating in a complex organization with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Effective communicator who can convey complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including executives, clients, partners and influence decision-making processes.
  • Prior experience in the data commercialization industry would be highly beneficial. As well as prior knowledge of health care related challenges, regulatory considerations, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to analyze complex technical and business problems, evaluate multiple options, and make informed decisions to drive the company’s technology initiatives forward.
  • Strong references from prior Sales & Product executives around partnership and ability to execute on technology that accelerates company business strategy.

  • Responsible for creating and executing the technology strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives in partnership with McKesson central IT department.
  • This involves identifying technology trends, evaluating potential opportunities, and making strategic decisions on technology investments.
  • Plays a key role in driving the development of data commercialization products and services.
  • Responsible for ensuring the company has robust data management systems, data governance policies, and data analytics capabilities to derive insights and value from the data assets.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and innovations relevant to the data commercialization industry.
  • identifying and evaluating new technologies, tools, and techniques that can enhance the company’s offerings, improve efficiency, and drive innovation.
  • Provides technical leadership to the technology teams within the organization.
  • Setting technical standards, ensuring adherence to best practices
  • Promoting knowledge sharing and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to understand their technology needs and align them with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Establish partnerships with technology vendors, research institutions, or other organizations to leverage external expertise and resources.
  • Ensure data security and compliance of McKesson Compile
  • In partnership with McKesson IT department establish and maintain robust security measures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and addressing any security or privacy concerns. 8.
  • Responsible for building and developing a high-performing technology team.
  • Hiring and retaining top talent, providing mentorship and guidance, fostering a culture of learning and growth, and ensuring an inclusive workforce.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and manage the technology budget.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation balancing investment in new initiatives, maintenance of existing systems, and operational efficiency.
  • Key liaison between the technology team and other stakeholders, such as McKesson Technology, executives, clients and partners in communicating the technology strategy, progress, and challenges to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
