Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), your role is pivotal in defining our strategic direction and technology roadmap while driving innovation. You will serve as a key strategic leader within our Technology division, responsible for directing the development and implementation of our products and overseeing the management of all global technology platforms. Collaboration will be at the core of your responsibilities, working closely with executive leadership, the board of directors, and cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and operations. Your leadership will ensure that our technology initiatives are seamlessly integrated with our overarching business objectives, driving our company forward through technological innovation and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technology Strategy and Innovation:
  • Define and execute the company’s technological vision.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends and emerging technologies, assessing their relevance and recommending innovative solutions that provide a competitive edge.
  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead and manage a dynamic team of software developers, engineers, data scientists, and IT professionals.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and resources to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
  • Technical Architecture and Infrastructure:
  • Lead the design of the organisation’s platform architecture and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Evaluate and adopt suitable technologies to streamline operations and enhance performance.
  • Product Development:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development of technology products aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee engineering for the entire product lifecycle, through conception, launch, maintaining and evolution of our product.
  • Research and Development (R&D):
  • Lead R&D efforts, experimenting with new technologies, and fostering a culture of creativity and exploration within the technology team.
  • Cybersecurity and Risk Management:
  • Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect the organisation’s digital landscape.
  • Mitigate risks and protect sensitive data against cyber threats.
  • Strategic Partnerships:
  • Forge strategic partnerships with technology vendors, startups, and industry leaders.
  • Explore new business opportunities through these collaborations.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
  • Create and manage technology budgets, allocating resources optimally to support various initiatives while maintaining financial discipline.
