Description:

If you are looking to expand your legal horizons and have experience in Childcare Law then this role in West Yorkshire may be for you. My client has been providing expert legal advice to the local area for almost 75 years, based in the heart of many communities in Yorkshire, they build enduring relationships with all our clients, meeting their legal needs by giving practical advice and guidance. They are a household name and are leading representatives in their legal market with an enviable reputation to back them in their field.
Their care department is a national leader in the niche area of abuse/child law. They are involved in landmark cases, specifically in abuse suffered in foster care and fought for a change in the law which allows an abuse claim to be brought before the Court regardless of when it took place. It is their belief that justice for child abuse survivors should be accessible no matter how long ago it happened. They have acted as the lead Solicitors for large group of survivors who suffered abuse in children’s homes and detention centres. They have been instrumental in the development of scheme cases which has enabled survivors of abuse, who were unable to pursue their claims through the Courts to receive compensation for their experiences.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with 0-2years PQE. previous experience with childcare/child law is non-negotiable, the experience must be within Public law. They also wish for their ideal candiate to have experience with care proceedings and advocacy experience.
If you are passionate about advocating for children who are survivors of abuse and possess the qualifications and/or experience and skills outlined above, and want to progress your legal career, we would love to hear from you.
