Description:

Are you a qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner looking for a role working with young people with mental health conditions?
Are you keen to be involved in an expanding Primary Mental Health Team?
Our Primary Mental Health Team 4 Youth are looking for a Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join our team in Wokingham.
In this role you will be providing outcome focussed, evidence-based low intensity interventions to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties. This is a unique opportunity to be part of, and contribute to, a developing and innovative service.
You will be joining a small, friendly and trusted team and who will provide a balance of support and flexibility. There is opportunity to use your initiative and develop your skills, and you will have o perational management support and clinical supervision provided from one of our experienced psychologists. There is some flexibility for hybrid working.
The team work proactively with partner agencies, including the Mental Health Support Teams, Early Help, Youth Offending Teams and CAMHS. We provide an important interface with partner agencies and specialist CAMHS.
The service was developed in partnership with Wokingham Borough Council Children’s Services, who remain key partners in this initiative.
The position is a 12 month fixed term contract (from start date). Our service operates Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00. We are open to applicants looking for full and part time hours.
Assess and deliver, outcome focused, evidence-based low intensity interventions to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
Work in partnership with children, young people and families in the development of plans for the intervention and agreed outcomes.
Support and empower children, young people and families to make informed choices about the intervention.
Provide a range of information and support for low intensity evidence based psychological treatments. This may include guided self-help, CCBT, behavioural activation and information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be face-to-face, by telephone or via other media.
