Role and Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will deliver a high level of supply chain excellence in a fast paced, dynamic environment. A key requirement of the role includes creating partnerships with commercial and operations teams to maximise availability to customers and supply chain efficiency.

Key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Managing inventory to ensure 100% availability to support customer demand.
  • Utilising the ERP system for processing purchase orders and controlling inventory
  • Measuring and managing supplier delivery performance through an account manager approach with appropriate regular service levels communication and calls
  • Identifying and challenging safety stock levels, MOQ’s and supplier lead-times as part of your inventory management with a focus on providing optimal availability and shelf life to customers.
  • Managing waste risk on short life product and analysing opportunities to optimise waste management.
  • Liaising with Trading and Sales colleagues to manage range and inventory ensuring overstocks, residual stocks and waste risks are being addressed
  • Providing ad hoc inventory analysis and reporting for your portfolio
  • Supporting Demand Planners with forecasting on standard and promotional activity across all channels (including of anticipation of seasonal trends)
  • Collaborating closely with warehouse team to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Communicating product availability/recovery to the wider business
  • Reviewing operating systems, processes and practices on an ongoing basis, recommending changes to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency to reduce costs
  • Ensuring the business achieves stock management targets
  • Supporting new customer and new product launches
  • Devising, implementing and managing supply chain projects that deliver added value services and cost benefits

The successful candidate will have / be:

  • Previous experience in Inventory Planning essential, ideally in a wholesale/foodservice environment
  • Excellent planning and time management skills, with the ability to confidently prioritise tasks
  • An understanding of forecasting activity and supplier management
  • Track record in the process development to drive continuous improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • A team player with a high degree of enthusiasm, coupled with the ability to achieve results and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Third Level Qualification, degree desirable or equivalent business experience
