Our North American team is growing rapidly. We are looking for an proactive and enthusiastic Marketing and Business Development Assistant, with a specific focus on the Chinese market, to join our team. In this role, you will be a pivotal part of enhancing our Chinese marketing initiatives in Canada, supporting the growth of upcoming marketing initiatives, and helping us expand our presence.
This role is responsible for effective local marketing initiatives through researching, designing, and executing marketing strategy across content creation, local partnership outreach, public relations, and more.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, a highly creative innovator, and with a growth mindset. This is a full-time, remote position based in Canada. Due to the bi-coastal nature of our team, evening work might be required. Must have high-level Chinese & English reading and writing proficiency.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE REQUIRED?
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese reading, writing, and editing skills are essential
- 2+ years of experience of Chinese content writing and/or Chinese social media management, experience in creating content for WeChat public account and Little Red Book will be preferred
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Experience in the education sector and/or knowledge in university admissions (US & UK as priority) will be preferred but not required
- Background in college consulting or have a network of education industry contacts/parent groups will be a strong plus
- Experience with Canva and a basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a strong plus. Basic command of video editing software, such as CapCut, is preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities:
- This role will be focused on developing and furthering Crimson’s Chinese market presence in Canada by assisting with Chinese marketing initiatives
- Developing Chinese marketing assets, such as blogs, websites, marketing brochures, videos, case studies, webinar content, sales templates, and resources for students
- Organizing and supporting the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of webinars and other related events
- Managing WeChat group promotions and respond to questions. Contribute to the creation of offline and online marketing content to increase brand awareness, create a positive customer experience, and increase conversions
- Assisting with outreach tactics, including expos, seminars, school talks, and related events. Support webinar coordinating and logistics.
- Supporting Chinese partnership building efforts by researching and finding contact information of potential partners and media channels, and establishing relevant partnerships
