Key to your success will be your:

  • Experience in the operation of coal processing plants, mineral processing plants, or general plant Production and Maintenance.
  • Previous proven supervisory experience.
  • Operating SCADA and PLC control systems.
  • Appointed Supervisor as per section 26 of Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the CHPP Production Superintendent, this role will be responsible for the ensuring the smooth and sustainable operation of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plants (CHPP) to achieve the production targets within health and safety, quality, cost, and environmental targets

Your role will be interesting and varied and will include:

  • Leading CHPP Production Operations in the delivery of the CHPP Critical Goals: Safety and Health, People, Production and Cost
  • Maintaining CHPP personnel competencies and authorisations in line with the Training Needs Analysis, and contributing to the development of the training needs analysis
  • Managing the distribution of skills within the crews to ensure that the supervision, training and permits are provided
  • Ensuring shift logs are recorded in line with Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulation requirements
  • Completing a quality and effective handover at shift change to ensure continuity and repeatability of historic information
  • Understanding budget constraints and use this to control costs and drive behaviours within your area of control
