Amentum is seeking a Civil Engineer I to be based in Englewood, CO. Perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operations, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis, or review team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• DOE/DOD project design experience.
• Professional Engineering registration or the ability to obtain registration.
• Master of science degree in civil engineering.
• Working knowledge of Microstation using Openroads.
• Working knowledge of regulatory Codes and standards.
• Working knowledge with commercially available hydraulic and hydrology software.
• Working knowledge designing site drainage and storm water control systems.
• Working knowledge of the design of underground utilities.
• Ability to prepare various civil engineering calculations and drawings.

• Perform design, development or review tasks in specific areas under close supervision.
• Design a portion or section of an analysis or design review.
• Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondence.
• Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.
• Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
• Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Develop and maintain digital 3D model
• Develop engineering drawings and sketches of medium complexity
• Reviews other discipline drawings and vendor drawings
• Performs discipline Material Take Off (MTO) activities using manual methods and computer applications
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
