THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Transport and Infrastructure teams work on a wide variety of exciting projects within New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands, operating across the roads, rail, ports, airports and land development market sectors. With a strong current and future portfolio of projects, we are looking for a Civil Engineer to join us in Christchurch to help us continue to make everyday better in our communities.
Our varied pipeline of projects provides numerous opportunities for our people to work on large and small projects across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands. You will work with a team of highly skilled professionals who will help you advance your technical, client engagement and project management skills.

Every day will provide you with new challenges and look a little different, overall, this role will see you:

  • Delivering projects on time and to budget, while meeting clients’ needs and expectations
  • Seek continuous improvement in the design process, including the use of new technology
  • Communicate positively and effectively ensuring that team members, managers and clients are well informed of your project tasks.
  • Be able to collaboratively undertake conceptual designs through to detailed design, contract procurement and construction administration with a small team
  • Consolidate and extend technical skills and show initiative in seeking learning opportunities
  • Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills
  • Develop and mentor others to grow successful careers
  • Foster client relationships that contribute to repeat business
