Description:

ECM Consultants, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. As a Civil Engineer, you will be involved in the planning, design, and construction oversight of various civil engineering projects. We are looking for an individual with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license for State of Louisiana required or ability to become one required.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS, ArcGIS, Mathcad Bluebeam and other relevant software and other engineering software tools.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
  • Experience with project management software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable design principles is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and oversee the construction of civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, dams, airports, and water supply systems.
  • Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies to assess project requirements and constraints.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for project proposals and construction documents.
  • Utilize engineering software tools for design and analysis, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Perform calculations for structural analysis, hydraulic modeling, and earthwork quantities.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in civil engineering.
