JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing and executing civil projects. The Civil Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of various civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Civil engineering technologist diploma from a recognized institution.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering projects.
  • Autodesk Civil 3D experience
  • Proficient in industry-standard design and analysis software.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineering staff.
  • Alberta Drivers License or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Design and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including but not limited to site development, infrastructure, and transportation projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise in the areas of structural design, site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and other relevant aspects of civil engineering.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including architects, surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes to guarantee the highest standard of workmanship in all project deliverables.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize project profitability.
  • Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in projects, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Continued Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering, and apply this knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
