If this sounds appealing to you, then consider our Civil Engineer- Water-Wastewater opportunity. The position is based in Ann Arbor, East Lansing, MI, or Lexington, KY.
The successful candidate for this position will provide engineering support for the civil design group. Typical projects include a wide variety of municipal and private development projects involving site layout and design and water/wastewater projects involving collection and conveyance systems, pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, and rehabilitation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
  • 2+ years of related civil or environmental engineering experience
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and proficient with Microsoft Office software, to include Excel, word processing, and scheduling programs

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and design site improvement projects including grading, drainage, roads, underground utilities, parking lots, and other site features;
  • Design water/wastewater/stormwater treatment facilities/distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities projects;
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses;
  • Assist design team to prepare construction drawings, specifications and cost opinions;
  • Provide onsite resident engineer services during the construction of a project to ensure contract design and specifications are being followed;
  • Aid in reviewing submittals from contractors for conformance with engineering specifications and drawings and respond to requests for additional information;
