OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Higher Level Apprentice to join our team.
As a Civil Engineering Higher Level Apprentice, with the support of Contracts Supervisors, Senior Contracts Supervisor and Contracts Manager and in conjunction with a tailored development plan; gain new competencies and professional qualifications, to enable progression.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of project specific Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality documentation in compliance with Internal Company Systems and HSE Regulations
  • Ensure all HSE and Quality issues are monitored regularly and reported as required
  • In conjunction with Line Manager, ensure efficient programming of works ensuring Company targets and customer deadlines are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure effective organisation of work to maximise use of Company resources
  • Assume responsibility for decision making in conjunction with Site Foreperson and Line Manager
  • To assume setting out duties and be responsible for dimensional and level controls.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with Company processes and procedures and submit required documentation, or site returns, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of operatives and sub-contractors engaged in site works
  • Ensure implementation of cost monitoring and control measures as directed by Line Manager.
  • Provide input into measurement and valuation process, working alongside senior staff
  • Build and maintain working relationships with clients’ representatives
  • Maintain daily/weekly contact with Line Manager and maintain relevant administration for reporting
  • To assist and participate in further offsite training.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
