THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join our talented team in Calgary Alberta. This role involves leading and managing a variety of civil infrastructure projects for clients in the energy and resource market (Oil & Gas, Mining, Renewables), contributing to the continued growth of Global Raymac’s engineering team. The position offers a great opportunity to grow your career.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, with a preference for a specialization in transportation engineering, hydraulics / hydrology, project management, and/or construction inspection. Field experience in an industrial environment is also an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the resource sector.
- P.Eng designation or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal.
- Leadership skills with a proven ability to make impactful decisions.
- Strong understanding of business principles and solution implementation.
- Proficiency in modern engineering software and tools including AutoCAD, Civil 3d, and /or RoadEng.
- Exceptional time management abilities, with a knack for prioritizing and managing multiple, conflicting priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Design and construction management of resource roads, well pads, and bridges, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Oversee tender preparation, contract preparation and maintain adherence to project budgets and schedules.
- Developed technical designs for infrastructure elements such as sumps, pipeline grading, and gravel pits. Project work will require some travel to execute required field inspections and reporting.
- Prepare business case studies to optimize project outcomes.
- Develop traffic management and construction staging plans.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and statutory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying new opportunities to expand our company’s reach.
- Innovate and contribute to the development of new technologies and methodologies in infrastructure engineering.
