    We are currently looking to recruit a Civil Project Engineer on a full-time basis in our Perth metro area.

FSC Civils is a Australian civil construction business specializing in infrastructure works.
Since 2016, FSC has expanded to take on major contract works which include road bridge construction, concrete pavement placement, culvert construction, drainage, retaining walls, precast supply & install, and many other aspects of work associated with civil infrastructure.
Company personnel consist of an expert team of project managers, engineers, tradesmen, machine operators, and skilled labourers. Our current workforce represents a cohesive and well-integrated team of skilled, friendly, supportive tradesmen.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an enabler – an overriding principle with this role is to be an enabler to the business. It is crucial to get to know and work positively with the team, build relationships with the operations and project management teams, and to assist with issues.
  • Experience in civil engineering practices with proven site project delivery
  • Be methodical in application of general principles of Project Management in particular:
  • Tracking - progress against planned, time and cost
  • Scope & Change Management
  • Cost Management – ie. performance index
  • Staff and Contractor Management
  • Ensure the projects comply with the HSEQ documented Management System
  • Determining construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures
  • Organising and directing site labour and the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for the coordination of site activities
  • Studying architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs, and preparing detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control
  • Monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs
  • Temporary works design coordination
  • Project planning
  • Supporting construction teams by providing technical guidance in the field during execution activities
  • Investigate areas of Non-Conformance be it product quality, client compliance or incident
