Description:

As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of civil and structural components integral to upstream oil & gas facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • 7 years of experience in civil and structural engineering within the oil & gas industry, with a focus on upstream projects.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and/or similar programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Analysis: Develop detailed designs for civil and structural components including but not limited to foundations, platforms, pipelines, and retaining structures. Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets. Provide input during the conceptual, feasibility, and detailed engineering phases of projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices in civil and structural engineering to ensure the integrity, safety, and reliability of oil & gas facilities. Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.
  • Construction Oversight: Provide technical support during the construction phase of projects, including reviewing contractor submissions, conducting site inspections, and resolving technical issues that may arise during construction.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to civil and structural engineering aspects of projects and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and other project deliverables in accordance with company standards and project requirements. Maintain accurate records of project activities, changes, and approvals.
