The Role:
Shape the future of sustainable construction with us! Are you ready to revolutionize the world of concrete infrastructure? We are on a mission to design and build the next generation of sustainable, 3D printed reinforced concrete structures, and we are looking for a passionate structural engineer to join our team.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will use your expertise in reinforced concrete structures to create innovative designs. With strong proficiency in Eurocodes (EN1992, EN1997, etc.) and a few years of industry experience, you will bring your creativity, curiosity, and deep understanding of structural principles to life. Your designs will be printed, mechanically tested, and installed underground, setting new standards in the industry.
Responsibilities
Work directly with our Chief of Engineering to develop the structural design of 3D printed reinforced structures
Prepare calculation reports to Eurocodes for underground structures (crack width calculation, reinforcement calculation, etc.)
Meet with the clients technical team, understand their requirements, discuss technical data
Design structural testing methodology and execute the testing of full 1-1 scale printed samples
Review engineering drawings and codes sent by clients and identify compliance with Hyperions structures
Share your designs with our production team in the form of standard reports and in-person briefings to incorporate any feedback and ensure flawless execution of the designs
Skills & Qualifications:
Needed
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Structural Engineering
4+ years working in an engineering team as a structural engineer
Fluent in using Structural Analysis software (FEM modeling)
Capable of producing design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates
Professional and technical level of English
Great communication skills, verbally but also in visual presentations (PPT, Pdf, etc.) to collaborate with clients engineers and building contractors on design and construction of projects
Detail oriented
A can do mentality and strong problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to work both collaboratively and independently
Eager to share knowledge and build awareness, loves to teach and educate others
Flexible and adaptive to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Ability to demonstrate a methodical and effective approach to projects and deadlines
Nice to have
Fluent in Rhino3D with great 3D modeling and geometry skills
Flexible to travel internationally for short periods of time to inspect the construction of 3DCP elements
