Description:

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This role is crucial in the investigation, analysis, and determination of our company’s responsibility in cases of lost wages, medical benefits, and permanent impairment.

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster to investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of our insurance company’s responsibility for lost wages, medical benefits, and permanent impairment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, knowledge of legal requirements and regulations, and exceptional communication abilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
5 years of experience is required in handling Workers’ Compensation claims in California.

Responsibilities:

Analyze first reports to determine the nature of loss, coverage provided, and scope of injuries.
Promptly contact insured individuals to properly develop the file and provide accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis.
Maintain an active diary and monitor it to achieve timely development of the file and disposition of the claim.
Recognize and pursue recovery where possible, adhering to all statutory regulations and unfair claim practices acts.
Effectively communicate with all internal and external customers.
Strict adherence to jurisdiction rules regarding form notices to injured workers, insured individuals, and state courts.
Knowledge of California workers’ compensation claim handling, investigative techniques, legal requirements, and regulations.
Ability to work with a wide spectrum of people.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer service orientation, and strong analytical and negotiation skills.
