SUMMARY

This position will provide support to the Surety Claims Department. The position will have contact with surety claims attorneys and adjusters, as well as Skyward’s claims operations staff. This position will assist in maintaining claim files and supporting surety claims adjusters with information management, and providing general office administrative functions, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience in a highly administrative role
  • Surety experience preferred, but not required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Due to the remote nature of the position, must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of people daily, in person, via telephone and email
  • Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail are essential
  • Able to independently multi-task and establish priorities
  • Learns quickly and demonstrates an open attitude when facing new problems, processes, or procedures, and takes advantage of diverse sources of information to solve problems
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment as well as independently
  • Able to complete tasks and assignments in a high-volume work environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to multiple Surety Claims Adjusters
  • Electronically file claim correspondence and maintain claim files
  • Set-up new claim files
  • Retrieve information using various claims systems to prepare, verify, and/or file documents
  • Prepare and distribute office correspondence and mail
  • Maintain calendar appointments/meetings
  • Prepare form claim letters and communications
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Perform additional projects as requested
