Responsibilities:

The Claims Clerk provides clerical support such as customer service, administrative assistance, mail processing and courier liaison, filing, organization and record management.

  • Respond to and direct inquiry calls from clients, Brokers, Insurance Companies and internal staff
  • Provide instructions on how to proceed with claims
  • Directing calls to appropriate party for handling
  • Liaise with multiple departments within the Company
  • Processing new claims in various systems, entering data in systems and recording in claims Logs
  • Receive claims transaction data and record in relevant system
  • Pay small claims such as windshield repair and replacement; deal directly with vendors and provide pricing
  • Process weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Ensure claims portal is updated
  • Prepare weekly deposits
  • Responsible for printing claims cheques, scanning and preparing for mailing
  • Sort and process all incoming and outgoing mail for the Department
  • Coordinate the maintenance of office equipment with Office Services department
