Description:
- Permanent role
- Contribute to a strong collaborative and supportive culture
- Actively share knowledge and advise others with a view to building and developing the technical capabilities of the Injury Liability claims team
- Work from home and office
- Brisbane location
Manage a portfolio of diverse personal injury claims (Public Liability) in accordance with policies and procedures ensuring the most cost-effective and timely outcomes are achieved. Provide assistance, advice and support with respect to our more complex claim files such as:
- Abuse/molestation claims
- Significant injury claims
- Specialist in worker to worker claims.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 5-10 years’ experience managing a portfolio of liability claims
- Insurance Claims experience
- Knowledge and use of Mainframe applications/IT & reporting systems used by Commercial Claims
- Sound knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations and guidelines applicable to the department
- Ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships.

Responsibilities:
- End to end management of Injury Liability claim files ensuring best practice processes and procedures are maintained in a cost effective and timely manner
- Provide underwriters and leadership with feedback around issues or risk deficiencies identified during a claim’s management
- Contribute to the development of the Injury Liability market profile through Best in Class claims service to our targeted market segment
- Increase awareness of the cost and consequence of technical decisions with respect to our specialist portfolio
- Engage with internal stakeholders on the interpretation of policies and legislation as required.
