Claims Paralegal

Job Summary:
The Claims Paralegal will work collectively with the Legal Affairs team of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMHCS) and report directly to the Senior Operations Counsel and Director of Claims, to effectively assist with claims management matters, effectuate communications between the Legal Affairs team and internal departments, key stakeholders, and outside counsel, and provide continual support to legal/non-legal members in fulfilling the responsibilities of the legal services team. This position will have a key role in the entire claims management process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.
• Prefer NALA Certified Paralegal (CP) or Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP).
• Prefer three (3) to five (5) years of claims management experience.
