SOME REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 + years as a CAT desk adjuster for an established carrier or MGA.
  • Understanding valued policy states and knowledge of which perils apply and when tendering limits is appropriate.
  • You are currently licensed or eligible for licensing as an adjuster in the states of: TX, FL, CA, NY, and AL (we can provide assistance with your licensing fees).

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED) is required.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Must be proficient with MS Office and other internal insurance related programs, systems or applications. (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Ability to communicate effectively using programs such as Slack & MS Teams. You are comfortable sharing screens and video chatting.
  • Previous experience using estimating software, such as Symbility is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of Swyfft’ s liability concerning first party homeowner property loss or damages, and settle with our policyholders.
  • Ensure that all assigned claims are resolved in a timely manner, accurately and resolved fairly.
  • Communicate and connect with policyholders, agents, engineers, and service providers on a daily basis.
  • When necessary, utilize appropriate third-party resources to investigate and evaluate claims.
  • Calculate benefits payable under the policy and either make payments or decline payments on claims.
  • Evaluate and apply the homeowner insurance contract as it pertains to claims assigned for resolution.
  • Understand, adjust and use loss damage estimates to accurately determine amounts payable and to collaborate with public adjusters, attorneys, contractors and other related service providers.
  • Create and maintain a diary system in the electronic claims management system and related applications.
