The opportunity:
As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for the assessment of Life & Trauma claims by liaising with clients, health professionals and advisers and processing benefit payments, ensuring a high level of accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:
- Requesting and reviewing documentation received from clients to assess their ongoing entitlement and eligibility
- Processing claim payments to clients accurately, efficiently and within expected time frames
- Maintaining CMS and other relevant databases to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date
- Preparing ongoing claim calculations
- Managing a large portfolio, with a case load sitting between 150 – 180
- Working alongside our Chief Medical Officer and Financial Claims team
- Ensuring risks, issues and assumptions are proactively identified and managed effectively
- Managing multiple demands that require continuous proactive management
- Working within the constraints of policy wordings to ensure the best customer outcomes
- Conflict management arising as a result of different parties views/decisions and managing the high emotional impact and pressure of the role.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Excellent customer service skills (written & verbal)
- Microsoft suite skills i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
- Problem solving & decision making ability
- 3-5 years’ work experience (life insurance industry and/or claims experience desirable)
- Strong stakeholder management.
