Overview:
To oversee and supervise a team of Claims Professionals. You will have an excellent understanding of the claims process, and act as a referral point for your team, providing support and guidance. As Team Leader, you will be expected to manage daily people management tasks, manage client expectations, ensure the continued development of staff and act as a role model to others.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of team members to ensure Service Level Agreements are complied with.
  • Approve claims settlements within financial authority.
  • Ensure team has knowledge of Service Instructions and Policy Wordings.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure their requirements are met, attending review meetings where appropriate
  • Provide mentoring and facilitate development of your team
  • Timely completion of appraisal process.
  • Respond promptly to complaints.
  • Promote and ensure best practices are followed by Team members
  • Manage own solicitors in litigated cases to ensure litigation standards are met.
  • Assist Head of Division in general office administration to ensure smooth running of office.
  • Comply with all Gallagher Bassett and office procedures
  • Any other duties as required by Gallagher Bassett

Qualifications:

  • Supports and encourages client service
  • Demonstrates strong technical expertise and knowledge within the manager’s scope of responsibility
  • Has a clear understanding of Gallagher Bassett’s Best Practices and drives to achieve them each and every day
  • Exhibits strong listening as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Creates a positive work environment, treats others with respect, takes responsibility for developing others and inspires people to perform at their highest level
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge and understanding of Gallagher Bassett’s business objectives and how to implement them. This is combined with the ability to make sound decisions and execute accordingly based on that knowledge and understanding
  • Proactive in all learning and development opportunities, and expected to study and obtain CII qualifications in line with the Gallagher Bassett L&D Policies
