Title: 421A Heavy Equipment Technician
Location: Miller Waste Systems – Clarington Compost
Reporting to: Equipment Supervisor
Hours: Monday – Friday (6:30 am – 4:30 pm)
Start Date: ASAP
REQUIREMENTS:
- Successful candidates will be mechanically inclined and possess a strong work ethic.
- 421A Heavy Equipment Technician.
- You will have the ability to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Must have own set of tools.
- Basic computer knowledge as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are an asset for this position.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team-oriented environment is key in this position.
- Must be flexible with your working schedule as you may be required to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:
In the position of Heavy Equipment Technician your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Maintaining and repairing site equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
- Repair and service any and all equipment on site from loaders, excavators, skid steers, screening plants, conveyors, grinders, generators, etc.
- Maintain all required records and files for equipment maintenance.
- General shop maintenance and clean up.
- Assist in improving the Preventative Maintenance program within the compost group.
- Will be required to conduct services & repairs outdoors.
- Report to Equipment Supervisor.
