Hiring Class 5 Truck Drivers to work busy Monday to Friday- shifts including night shifts, and occasional weekend work.
This is a full-time permanent role and you will be operating from our base in Auckland and ready to take floating loads throughout New Zealand.
We offer a competitive pay rate ranging from $29.66 to $33 per hour, to the right candidate based on skills and experience, with long-term potential and growth. IMMEDIATE START with guaranteed minimum 30 hours of work!
Duties:
Driving Class 5 trucks
Delivering containers from depot to ports within metro areas Physical work involved
Supervise or assist with loading and unloading
Ensure load is strapped securely
Pre-checks of vehicle before each trip – including oil, water, fuel, air pressure levels are in line with road safety and vehicle safety standards
Ideal candidate must have:
Valid Class 5 licence to operate trucks or able to get the same Excellent driving skills
Be physically fit
Need to swing-lift containers on customer sites
Work independently or as part of a team
Initiative and willingness to learn
Be punctual, reliable, a can-do attitude and the willingness to get the job done.
Have an awareness and commitment to following all health and safety work practices
Must be flexible with roster work. It can be day or night. Sometimes need to stay out in other cites in line-haul run. Available for work on weekends.
A pre-employment medical, criminal history and drug and alcohol screen is necessary.
