An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cleaner within the Food and Beverage department at Australia Zoo!

At Australia Zoo, our Food and Beverage Cleaners have the have the opportunity to get out and about on our gorgeous 108 acres of grounds, making sure our high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout each of our outlets. Beyond that, our Cleaners make our guests feel welcome, engage with them, and support Australia Zoo’s goals of conservation through exciting education
Our cleaning team members are crucial for our day-to-day operations of Australia Zoo, making guests feel welcome, and supporting Australia Zoo’s goals of conservation through exciting education!

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS –

• Food Handling experience and relevant certification
• Availability to work weekends, public holidays and school holidays
• Responsible service of alcohol (QLD Certification)
• Own transport to and from the Zoo
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Cleaning & maintaining all public areas
• General cleaning of offices
• Rubbish disposal and litter removal of each food and beverage outlet
• Use of cleaning and maintenance equipment (Vacuum, Blower, Sweeper, Mop, Duster, Gurney, Buggy etc)
• Maintain excellent communication and guest relations
• Cleaning of tables and collection of cutlery and dishes
• Scullery operation
• Responsible for regular cleaning and the display of your designated station
• Other duties as requested by Senior Management, the HOD or Supervisors
