Description:

Edison Properties is a property management company that has been in business for over 50 years providing apartments for rent ranging from cozy and comfortable bachelor apartments to luxurious penthouse suites in the Winnipeg market.
We are seeking a Residential Cleaner to maintain the interior and exterior of our 185 Smith Street location to ensure that it is kept clean, attractive, and is in a safe and operational condition. This position reports to the Resident Manager and may act as their backup during short-term absences. Residential Cleaners at our Smith Street location are not required to live on-site however they are responsible for on-call duties on rotation with the Resident Manager. Our ideal candidate is customer-focused and able to effectively problem solve in stressful situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicable working experience in property management is considered an asset.
  • Able to manage multiple projects with little oversight
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned duties.
  • Able to physically perform cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Overtime may be required outside normal hours of work to accomplish duties, particularly during periods of heavy work requirements.
  • Must maintain clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb a ladder and crawl.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long hours of the day.
  • Ability to work outside year-round in all weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, team-works and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and clean common areas of the building such as lobby, entrances, stairwells, outside areas, fitness room, saunas/pools (where applicable), parking areas, recreational rooms, hallways, laundry room, elevators, and dog run.
  • Adheres to schedules for cleaning and standards as set in conjunction with the Resident Manager and corporate standards.
  • Communicate and proactively report any issues, such as damage or maintenance concerns to the Resident Manager to ensure the safety and comfortability of tenants, guests and employees.
  • Maintain accurate cleaning logs where required.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate with Resident Manager when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Assist maintenance as needed.
  • Assist tenants and guests to ensure their needs are met and communicate any issues appropriately.
  • Support Resident Manager during building emergency situations.
